What Remains
The train left seven minutes late with permission from the dispatcher. Sal swept the platform one final time. The teenager asked if he wanted the drawing of himself. Sal visited on Tuesdays to teach a repair class. Sometimes the violinist played outside. The railway was gone, but its people had finally learned how to stop and meet.
